Famous for its incredible customer service and convenient location near Yellowstone, the Hampton Inn Bozeman has a distinct divide with its dated, slightly run-down rooms. While guests frequently praise staff members like Austin and Tara for going above and beyond, the property suffers from significant cleanliness and maintenance issues.
Austin was amazing! I came to Bozeman for work. I got there about 11 am. I let him know that I had to quickly change and head to my job.He let me check in right away. The room was clean. I was here from Monday through Friday. The rest of the staff was so kind and accommodating. On Wednesday I asked for my room to be cleaned and unfortunately it wasn't. When I went to the front desk after getting back from work the young lady apologized. Next thing I know she knocked on the door. She brought towels and a gift bag full of snacks and assured me that my room would be cleaned the following day. Which it was. This company should be proud of all the staff for taking such great care of their customers!
Hotel has 10 cars in the entire parking lot and we are placed in a room that has a connecting door with another room. I can hear the person in the connecting room talking on his phone and pray that I will not hear his dog barking to be let out since we saw him walk in with a dog. The shower has mold all around it. Also we originally requested a king sized bed but were told a room with a king wasn’t available even though 10 minutes later we got an email saying it was available. No digital check in at this hotel. Very disappointed. I would ask to change rooms but I was here first and I am already settled. I was promised a free night stay and 25,000 Hilton points because of all the room issues by the complex general manager, but that looks to have been a false promise since I have not seen any points and the charge went through on my credit card for the room.
Great location but the place is dated and needs a remodel. Front desk was helpful. If you’re staying a night it’s fine but I would not recommend a prolonged stay.
Very very outdated hotel. Room have disgusting old carpet, minor mold in bathrooms, and overall musty smell. You'd be better in a Super 8 or similar for half the price.
First off David at the front desk is awesome he’s a great guy and very kind. This place is very out dated. Place smells weird, there is mold on the caulking in the shower. Beds are old, squeaky, and uncomfortable. The carpet is gross and sticky. Also even though I requested a late check out house keeping barged into the room at 10:30 while I was changing check out is 11 with late check out being 12pm…. 100% reminds me of a run down motel 6. And if you look at other reviews the owner just says “we will look into this issue”.. To the owner, Renovate the place. I will never stay here again and it is disappointing they are NOT up to current Hilton standards. Don’t let the lobby fool you you will be disappointed.
Great location, good service, who thinks peach colored floor tiles are still in style?. Cracked tiles, bad caulking around tub, hot water solid but doesn't go up high enough. Pillows full of air, but beds better than expected.
Dated but clean property. David checked us in around midnight and he was fabulous. The gentleman running breakfast the next morning was also very friendly. Easy highway access and not far from the airport. This was a great place to stay with a late arrival and heading out to Yellowstone the next morning.
This is a very nice hotel. We try to always stay at Hilton / Hampton properties. They never disappoint. This one is super clean. The room we had was a king room and it was huge. It was a very comfortable stay. Buuuuut the difference here is Tara. She was working the evening we showed up. (9/27/25) She was so nice and so helpful. I’ve never had a bad experience with anyone at these properties but she was over the top. Restaurant recommendations, asking about our trip, commenting on our day and hers. Then when we left for dinner she stopped us to ask how the room was and if there was anything she could do to make the stay any better. Holy cow. That’s service. My wife made a cup of hot tea when we got back and commented that her throat hurt. Tara got my wife a honey packet for her tea. You don’t get genuine people like this in your life very often. What a treat. Tara, if you see this, THANK YOU for making Bozeman an awesome stop. Your kindness and generosity won’t be forgotten.
Good hotel and friendly staff, but needs a renovation! I guess that Bozeman gets busy in the summer with Yellowstone tourists, but the price of this Hampton Inn, with outdated bathrooms and noisy A/C units, is comparable to that of fancier hotels.
We were up all night from the overwhelming stench of toxic mold embedded into the carpet. We requested a point refund. The processing has been total procrastination and a run around the management of this location. The facility allowing the room to be occupied is a disgrace. The facility is a health hazard and should be shut down forthwith and all carpets should be ripped out and replaced of all rooms.
