The AC Hotel Bozeman Downtown receives generally positive reviews, highlighting its modern design, convenient downtown location, and friendly staff. However, some guests have reported issues with noise levels, parking difficulties, and a frustrating booking experience regarding non-refundable rates. Despite these concerns, many commend the hotel’s atmosphere and access to amenities.
Clean hotel and friendly staff. However, the walls are paper thin. People in the hallway and outside sound like they’re in the room with you. If you have an early flight, avoid the 5th floor at all costs. We heard what sounded like chairs or tables being dragged above us for hours from the restaurant on the 6th floor. Had better sleep at a cheap motel last time in Bozeman.
The AC Hotel Downtown Bozeman is a great place to stay while visiting the area. The hotel itself is modern, clean, and well-maintained, making for a comfortable and enjoyable experience from check-in to check-out. The rooms were clean, well laid out, and felt fresh—perfect for relaxing after a long day exploring Bozeman. The staff was also a standout: friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout the stay, which really added to the overall experience. One of the highlights is the lobby bar, which is an excellent hangout spot during late hours. It has a relaxed but lively vibe and is a great place to unwind, grab a drink, and socialize without even leaving the hotel. Overall, the AC Hotel Downtown Bozeman offers a solid mix of comfort, cleanliness, and atmosphere, and it’s an easy place to recommend for anyone staying in Bozeman.
Pros: Great location, modern yet cozy. Clean room, and friendly staff. Nice gym for basic workout and complementary water in all floors, coffee and hot chocolate. Cons: hotel restaurant ran out of several items, does not have iced tea and basically offered me to go across the street to eat that was their solution. Valet parking attendant parked my car in the street across hotel illegally and got ticketed, lost my key as well.. just lack of care on his part. Thankfully manager stepped up and comped the parking and are paying for the ticket. Overall, I think I will come back and not let this experience ruin the relationship, I am sure this was isolated.
Great location within few minutes walk to restaurants, coffee shops and shopping. The room was good in general but the wash basin wasn't draining, front desk agent maybe was ew it took such a long time to get the room key but overall was good stay.
Nice hotel right off the main drag in downtown Bozeman. Incredibly friendly and attractive staff from the valets to the receptionists to Jade in the downstairs bar (good luck in the Air Force and thank you in advance for your service!!). Love the decorations for Christmas with the trees and garland and lights everywhere and the fun Hot Cocoa bar in the lobby. Breakfast ain’t included (even for high status) but was nice with a hot item selection of eggs or omelette or waffle along with a nice selection from a buffet. Best item was the espresso machine - but you have to pay for breakfast to get the espresso which was a bit of a bummer. Otherwise there is Starbucks coffee in urns in the lobby. Downstairs lobby bar has a fun vibe with mainly bar stool seating around an open bar. Upstairs restaurant and bar has a cool vibe to it with comfy chairs, dark lighting and fun music. Nice selection of craft beers and cocktails. Gym is amply equipped with three Peloton machines and three treadmills and a nice selection of free weights and yoga mats. Rooms was comfortable but getting an “upgrade” to a King instead of two Queens felt more difficult than passing an act in congress. Overall impressed but given the price and free breakfast (and espresso) I’d probably lean towards the Element next door - but a close call indeed!
Lauren was amazing at the front desk, very helpful! The rooms are clean, plenty of hot water and solid water pressure. They have a nice bar on the 6th floor with friendly staff, Erelah the bartender is great. Had a wonderful stay there.
Parker's service as both a valet and shuttle driver was a definite highlight of our stay at the AC Hotel. He was always prompt and professional, but it was his fantastic local recommendations and friendly demeanor that truly made an impression. His genuine hospitality is a huge asset to the hotel and made us feel incredibly welcome in Bozeman.
The AC is beautiful. The rooms are well-appointed and clean, so relaxing and calming. The location is perfect for access to local eateries and shopping. The staff is very nice and helpful. I gave reduced stars because when we booked directly with the hotel through the website, the options were a bit misleading and we booked fully non-refundable. It seems that refundable was not available for our mid-week dates for some reason (May 2025), we booked well in advance, there are no festivals, conferences or holidays we can see. Even though we needed to change our stay and we are Bonvoy members, we had to pay for a night we weren't using. Since we are flying out later in the day and we could not get a refund for the night, we decided to keep our rooms until it is time to go to the airport around 4pm. The hotel checked us out at 11am and disabled our door keys so that was annoying. We did get back in but it was a bit uncomfortable.
We stayed here over the Christmas holiday and had such a warm and pleasant experience. The hotel is tucked away in a quiet spot right in downtown, which made it both peaceful and convenient. There’s paid parking available in a nearby building, and you’ll find plenty of restaurants around — everything is within easy walking distance. Our room was spotless, the bathroom was excellent, and the bed was so soft and comfortable — perfect for relaxing after a long day. The staff at the front desk were kind and helpful, which made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. It’s a bit of a shame we didn’t get to try the breakfast since it wasn’t included, but everything else made up for it. All in all, it’s a lovely place to stay, and we’d definitely come back if we visit the area again.
Parking is a weird situation here. I was able to park within a block each of the 3 times I needed to find a park. They do have valet and there is a parking garage a block away so parking isn't an issue. It is just weird. Staff was nice and attentive when needed. Room was nice, black out curtains worked great. Coffee in the lobby was good and something that hotels just aren't doing anymore. The $16 brunch breakfast thing was a great deal. Will stay here again
