Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Bozeman receives mixed reviews, with some guests praising its affordability and cleanliness, while others report issues with staff demeanor, room condition, and pool closures. Recent reviews suggest improvements in cleanliness and service, but lingering concerns remain regarding room maintenance and staff interactions.
I booked this place without reading the reviews first. I was worried because some of the reviews were pretty bad. My experience was great. I rented the room with the jetted tub. The staff at check in was friendly and the room was clean with plenty of towels. The jets in the tub were strong and relaxing. The room is a little dated and there is no plug ins for phones but all in all it was a great deal and pleasant experience. The pool and hot tub are still closed which kinda sucks but I understand that things need repair eventually. All in all I would definitely stay here again.
This has got to be one of the cleanest facilities I have stayed at in quite some time. It felt brand new, and smelt really good throughout the hotel. The staff was so quick to any question I had and so friendly about it. It also has great view of the cannery district which you can also see the Bridgers from most of the rooms. Breakfast was a typical normal breakfast, and amenities were great.
Location was great to the ball field and close to a Walmart and restaurants which was nice. When we arrived we were told the pool was closed and wouldn’t be available, which was unfortunate because had we known that at booking, we would not have stayed since we were there with our 11U baseball team. Customer service was awful. No smiles, not friendly. One man that worked 6/7 was helpful and friendly which is the only reason I didn’t rate our experience a one star.) Rooms were ok, but dated. There were chips out of the sink, a crack on the tile floor in bathroom and a pleather chair that was peeling in the room. Beds weren’t very comfortable either. Linens had cigarette burns in them and there was beer left in the fridge from a prior guest, which didn’t make me feel confident that the room had been cleaned. We did utilize the laundry area. It’s $3 to wash and $3 to dry which is insanely high. Breakfast was mediocre. Waffles, bagels, toast, oatmeal and cereal. The room is so crammed packed it’s chaos in there. We ate there one of the four days we stayed there. Overall for the cost, it was ok, but I would not stay again or recommend to other people.
Location was great, but the room was even better. Layout was perfect for my wife and I. The pool was closed due to construction, but open on the last day I was there. Night lady was nice and gave us recommendations for breakfast. Overall, good stay.
The location of hotel was very good. The layout of my single room was great! I really liked this aspect. I did not find the room to be overly clean however. The bed linens seemed to be clean. The bathroom towels were clean, but had stains. The TV had greasy smudge marks on it which were gross. The bench cushion by the window and the decorative bed overlay had stains on them, which gave an overall kind of gross feel. The pool area looked really nice, and the breakfast area was clean with some good, quick food and cofee.
Great affordable place to stay. Rooms were clean and had all the amenities of the more expensive places. Nice continental breakfast. Perfectly located.
I visited Bozeman in December for a family emergency. First day was fine.. second day was a nightmare. Only book here if you would like to be abused by a member of the front desk staff. I accidentally locked my self out of my room. When I went to tell the lady at the front who was tall with gray hair in a braid. She was the rudest, most abrasive, abusive person I have come across in any hotel. She shamed me for locking myself out and treated me as though I was beneath her and unintelligent. She thought so little of me she refused eye contact and was so mean with her words that she brought me to tears. I was in an adjoining room and went to exit through the other room and the door locked behind me. That is how I locked myself out. I told her I felt terrible for the inconvenience and how sorry I was. She scoffed and rolled her eyes at me. She was extremely demeaning. I told her I had my main door locked for good reason because I didn’t feel safe due to personal reasons. She scoffed and rolled her eyes again. I thought it was her job to assist guests when they have problems. Not shame them. She didn’t have a key to unlock the adjoining door and acted as though that was my fault. She barked that she will need to call the general manager to come fix the problem. When she was walking away I asked her why she was treating me and my mom like this and she laughed and rolled her eyes once again. The general manager was very nice. He went to go get tools and my mom managed to open the door with a credit card. We walked to the front to tell her we fixed it ourselves and no longer needed her. She continued to be rude and hoped that her coworkers would laugh along, they did not. It was obvious that the other women were not surprised at her behavior and they seemed to not approve of it either. I told her she had brought me to tears and she replied in a very disrespectful snarky tone that I had made myself cry.. followed by another eye roll. I was already on an emergency trip and not in Bozeman for vacation. She was packed up to leave for the day and when my mom told her she should be expecting a review about her treatment and our experience she responded by yelling “YOU GO GIRLY!” In her disrespectful tone. We decided to check out early and go across the street because of how uncomfortable we felt. We received no refund and lost hundreds of dollars. When checking out the girl at the front desk asked if the gray haired tall lady was the reason we were leaving, we said yes. She did not seem surprised and so I don’t imagine we are the only people this lady feels the need to abuse. Every thing else was great. If she was not employed there this place would have received a five star review. She is tainting the place by treating its guests with zero respect and making them feel less than. Shame on her. This is not how people should act in the hospitality business. Wait to stay here until this woman is no longer employed.
Overall, a decent stay. The Microtel was nice, the room was clean, and having a hot tub in the room was nice. Location was close to everything. Breakfast was good and well stocked. Just had a rude conversation with the evening shift front desk lady when checking in but besides that it was a decent stay. Everything was clean and Hot Tub and Pool were clean.
We enjoyed out stay! Nice room with a jetted tub abd comfortable bed! All the staff members we talked to were so friendly & helpful! Especially Gwen!
We had a fine stay at this hotel. This was not far from the shops and food, but 15 min away from the airport. The room was clean, but had a weird mirror instead of paint on the wall. Overall it was a good experience. The breakfast area had a lot of options and the coffee was good. Staff was kind and helpful. I would stay here again!
