The Best Western Plus GranTree Inn receives mixed reviews, with some praising its convenient location, friendly staff, and decent amenities. However, recent renovations are ongoing, and recurring concerns involve construction, outdated rooms, and issues with service availability, particularly regarding the breakfast service and staff attentiveness. Overall cleanliness and value are uncertain given the current state of the hotel.
Was under construction, and didn't list it. Still wanted full price for a room that I had to wade through construction workers and smell wet paint. Room sucked , half assed remodel. A/c didnt work ... had to ask for a fan. Restaurant and bar closed with no notice ... had to go next door to get food after a 12 hour day. Will be the last time I ever stay here ... would have been better in a truck stop sleeping in my truck !
Went into the grantree tonight expecting exceptional service as usual, but was provided with lack luster mediocre service. Have been a long time patron who always looks forward to seeing Chandra, but seems like not much more. Where did she go? Food has always been exceptional, as well as service. No interest coming here anymore without the good service. The bartenders are what made this such a great place, but what now? We are gonna suffer without great bartenders like Chandra. edit for owners response: you think you can just replace someone who has built this place from the ground up. good luckkkkkkk
The Gran Tree is a great place to stay when there isn't a MSU home FB game as they raise their room rates ridiculously high, but in all fairness, appears the other local hotels do the same. (Greed just sucks) i am glad they are starting to update the hotel roons as they are a bit aged. The front desk staff was amazing at our stay in April, kudos to those gals. We will be back more in the future and will be fun to see the uodates/changes.
This is a very old hotel. The beds were very lumpy - probably about time they replaced them. The pillows were also quite sad. The hallway smelled damp and old. The self serve coffee was quite bad. Two of the three were empty, the sugar and creamer were barely stocked, and it was hidden in the corner. It was a place to stay, but this hotel has seen better days.
Wendy did an outstanding job in the restaurant. Great attention to detail. The breakfast we had was excellent. The late night bartender was also outstanding. The room was very good and the renovations in progress will provide needed updates.
Very nice hotel. Right in the middle of town, great bar/restaurant, indoor pool, etc. Awesome staff too.
Amazing reception by talented staff who are so helpful and charming Nice breakfast restaurant Outdated rooms Indoor swimming pool They are refreshing and updating there rooms
The gas station at Bozeman best Western grantree charged me 2.00 for. Coffee that cost a dollar yesterday. She didn't give me a penney back she put in the change jar. This woman also has her crap hands on my cups lip and I asked her doesn't she get trained about sanitation. She said NO. I won't go back
A valuable garment — a white abaya and scarf set — was submitted to the hotel’s laundry service and was mishandled at multiple levels. It was delivered to the wrong room, remained missing for an extended period, and was only returned to me minutes before an international flight — visibly stained and damaged beyond wear. I had no time to resolve the issue in person, as my departure was already underway when the item was handed to me by another crew member, who had received it mistakenly. What followed was equally disappointing: My follow-up inquiries were delayed or ignored, Staff avoided calls when I attempted to track down the item, Management delayed addressing the issue until the last possible moment, And ultimately, the hotel refused to take responsibility for the damage caused. The garment had remained in the hotel’s care for the duration of this process, and yet both the hotel and the cleaning service now deny liability — citing uncertainty about "what may have happened after it left their hands" despite the fact that it had already been delivered to the wrong guest due to internal error. So unacceptable and unprofessional....
I had been going to the Grantree for years and I have had great experiences with the bar and restaurant. But today I was treated with extreme rudeness by the hotel manager, a younger woman who found me sitting at one of the hotel chairs and to whom I explained I had been watching games at the bar for a few hours. She called me a “loiterer” and told me I “don’t belong” despite my explanation that I was taking a break from the restaurant to catch the score on a tv that had a game I was interested in. Very unprofessional and needlessly disrespectful work by her. She handled it poorly
