The Comfort Suites Airport-University Bozeman offers a generally positive experience with friendly staff and a convenient location near the airport and Walmart. While cleanliness is consistently praised, there are ongoing concerns regarding dated facilities, inconsistent breakfast quality, and unresolved maintenance issues like plumbing problems.
FIRSTLY HUGE SHOUT OUT TO SHYLAO!!! She was amazing!! She helped me when I was in a pickle. She made sure I was taken care of! She’s amazing!! Also the king rooms are huge!
The staff are so friendly! Probably the one reason I would actually stay again. The hotel is dated and the rooms need some TLC, my room the last couple of times has not been very clean. However, it is very quiet. The one thing I do not love is the random “parking fee” that is applied yet no one could explain what it’s for; though they do not charge for parking. The breakfast is not great, the little room it’s in smells weird, so it kind of puts you off wanting to eat. They need a better selection in food. Pros: very friendly staff, location, and quiet Cons: Hidden fees, questionable cleanliness of rooms, rooms/hotel dated, breakfast.
This place is run down hasn't had a renovation since it opened 2013 all the pictures that you see on their website are from the grand opening the carpets are outdated ripped stained as well as the couches some of the mattresses are ripped torn to the point They need to be replaced the pool and spa area is 50% closed. Most of the time because nobody there knows how to do the readings. They fix the pool logs so they don't have to close it. The ice machines are riddled with mold and mildew. I would stay away from them. The regional manager katlyn only comes out of her office to eat and use the restroom. You can't miss her shes about 400 pounds. They claim to be the comfort in suites by the airport there is at least a dozen more that are closer to the airport. I would avoid this hotel as much as possible.
We booked the king suite with pullout sofa from friday till Monday. I called ahead and let them know we would be arriving late evening friday to early morning saturday, the desk girl( I forget her name) was very warm accommodating and professional. When we checked in at a little after 3 am, the over night guy was also very professional and warm despite it being so early in the morning and quickly got us squared away. The rooms are a little worn around the edges but nothing too extreme and it was very clean. My only gripe, was how hard the bed was.
The hotel is a little older and that's usually something I try to avoid. However, this was honestly one of the best stays I've had in a good while, across multiple brands of hotels. It was clean, they provide several towels in the room, the room was well designed and set up. The staff was amazing!!! SUPER sweet manager!! Very laid back but also accommodating. The pool and hot tub area were very well maintained! I will absolutely stay here again!!
We’ve stayed here twice in the last few weeks when passing through to visit family. Hotel prices in Bozeman are ridiculous but this was a way more affordable option. The rooms have always been very clean and the staff has been extremely kind. Today when we ate breakfast, the food was delicious and there were a ton of options. The location is great. Not far from the freeway and almost sharing a parking lot with Walmart in case you forgot something! Thanks, Comfort Inn! We’ll be back
Biggest concern: the side entrance door was never locked, which felt unsafe—especially since my room was right next to it. Breakfast was disappointing. The Canadian bacon was floating in hot water, and the rest of the options were mostly unhealthy or unsuitable for guests with dietary restrictions or allergies. Room was clean. Bed was okay, not the most comfortable but manageable. Overall, basic stay but safety and breakfast need serious improvement.
Eileen, the GM gracefully accommodated my hectic situation (multiple times) swiftly and with a smile on her face. Shout out to Rebecca too! Rooms are super clean and comfy sheets. (You can see the mountains if you have an odd numbered room)
Comfort suites was incredible service. The front desk attendants were very kind but one especially stood out to our group. Spencer went the extra mile. He made us fresh cookies upon request. He then called both of our rooms and when we didn’t respond because we were in the hall he walked up 3 flights of stairs to let us know they were ready. He is very personable and serves with a smile. Spencer deserves a raise he is the goat. Attached below is a photo of us and Spencer (honorable mention: Andrew is cool and also in the photo)
Rooms and hotel were clean. After staying at other Comfort Suites around the state, I have to say their breakfast was the worst. Very little choices, waffle batter was watered down so much that actual water came out with the batter, and things like tea didn't stay stocked, especially during breakfast time. Also, beware that the pool has way too much chlorine in it. Every person, especially kids were crying and complaining that their eyes were hurting so bad and were completely bloodshot after getting out of the pool both days we used it.
