The Holiday Inn Express & Suites Bozeman West consistently receives positive feedback, particularly regarding recent renovations, cleanliness, and friendly staff. While the pool’s temporary closure has been a recurring issue, recent efforts have resulted in its reopening, significantly improving the guest experience. This hotel is well-situated for travelers exploring the surrounding area and offers convenient amenities.
I booked a 5-night stay for a snowboarding trip to Big Sky Ski Resort. Before booking, I read many reviews and chose this hotel because most of them were positive. I arrived yesterday and have stayed one night so far. Today is my second day, and this review is based on my experience up to now. - Clean, newly renovated rooms - Breakfast quality is better than most Holiday Inn locations - The King Suite I booked is very spacious and includes a dining table, which is very convenient - Free coffee is available in the lobby all day, not just during breakfast hours - The pool has been closed since the day I arrived due to “cleaning” and is still unavailable even after 24 hours - The TV is not connected to the internet, so YouTube or Netflix cannot be used I was especially disappointed because I was hoping to use the hot pool next to the main pool after snowboarding. When I asked the front desk, I was told that “pool cleaning” also meant the hot pool was unavailable, which was very frustrating. This is the main reason I can only give this hotel 3 stars at the moment. I chose this hotel because other reviews mentioned that the pool and hot pool were available, so this was disappointing. It’s also hard to understand why pool cleaning takes more than 24 hours. I will be staying for 4 more nights and plan to update this review after my full stay. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After staying here for 2 nights, I’m leaving an updated review. Today, I asked the front desk again, and one of the reception staff members—she was extremely kind, and I believe her name was "Izzy"—checked with her manager and made the hot pool available for use. It seems that during the off-season, the hot pool may not always be running due to low usage. Thanks to her help, I was able to enjoy the hot pool after snowboarding, and it was a great experience. With this issue resolved, I can now confidently recommend this hotel to others. I’m also updating my rating from 3 stars to 5 stars.
Five stars and big thank you to the crew working on the night of the 19th. I really appreciate the friendly and accommodating Holiday Inn in Bozeman for letting us and our dog land there after a white-knuckle drive through Gallatin during a blizzard. The rooms were clean, and seemed newer, and the hotel had a great little breakfast/guest area where we chatted with folks there for the Montana college football rivalry game. I give the location five stars because it’s next to I90 but far enough away not to hear it and it’s next to CostCo! So it’s easy to resupply before ice skating, er I mean, driving the I90 blizzack again. Again, shout out to the great crew working that night.
Recently renovated and the rooms were nice. There were fresh fruit options at breakfast that you normally don't see at a Holiday Inn Express. Only negative was you can hear everything in the parking lot if your room faces that direction.
One of the best HIE I've stayed at! Large suite was the same price as a regular room with my rewards member number. Great vendors including early check in. Favorite thing was the well maintained hot tub and clean room. Great stay in Bozeman!
I'm just getting back home after the best vacation to Bozeman, Yellowstone, Jackson Hole, and Grand Teton. I spent 3 nights at this hotel and I selected it because of the extraordinary reviews. I want to join in on the positive review party here and share my experience of staying here. To summarize, when I checked out, I felt that I was leaving my Bozeman family. Not only was my room extremely clean and comfortable, the humans who work here are extraordinary and really left an impression who, 3 weeks after my visit, I am still thinking about with gratitude and reverence. Everyone who I came in contact with during my stay was friendly and accommodating, however the people who stand out are Alaric, Thurman, and Radia. They were all so sweet and welcoming, I felt sad to leave not only because Bozeman is such a great place, but because they helped make my trip extra special. It's not common to see this level of service at a hotel, but they have nailed it at the Holiday Inn Express in West Bozeman. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for such a wonderful stay. When I return to Bozeman, I will intend on being back. xo
We stayed here for our anniversary weekend and can’t say enough how accommodating and wonderful the staff at this location. Taylor helped me book the stay. She went above and beyond to make our stay special and at a reasonable price. When we arrived, a very kind gentleman named Alaric checked us in. I made it a point to find and tell the GM how great these two had been to us and she was just as friendly and accommodating. (This place is VERY lucky to have such a wonderful, caring staff. We felt right at home during our stay which was all due to the amazing staff!) -Our room was newly renovated, spotless, spacious, and very comfortable. The bed was cozy, the linens felt fresh, and the bathroom was super clean with plenty of towels. The mountain views from our window were a lovely bonus! -Breakfast each morning had lots of options and everything was well-stocked and clean. -The hot tub pool and gym were all super clean. Made for a perfect way to unwind in the evening, and the location made it easy to get around town and enjoy a nice dinner nearby. Highly, highly recommend!!
If you don’t love this hotel, it’s totally you and not them. Outstanding in every way. This is probably the best Holiday Inn Express I’ve ever been to. Friendly, clean, great location. The manager Marti is THE BEST! IHG- never let her go!!!! Gigantic shout out to the shuttle men, Thurman and Scott. What fantastic people. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
Wow! From the moment the shuttle picked us up (which was soooo convenient!), we were treated so incredibly kind and sweetly by everyone who works at this hotel- honestly was blown away! We were also traveling with 3 little children who were very overtired from the long & early travel day and they were so helpful kind and accommodating to us, giving us milk and getting us in our rooms early. The rooms are awesome and a great set up- they also have cribs available and they have fridges and microwaves in the room. The beds are comfy! Now, let’s take a moment for the breakfast and the sweet humans preparing it- they were super kind to us when we were early (it starts at 6am, but we were up really early with the time change), and the breakfast is DELICIOUS and has something for everyone! Cheese omelets, sausage, biscuits and gravy, pancakes, oatmeal and more! I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Bozeman, and I hope we will be back again!
We recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Bozeman West and had an absolutely outstanding experience from start to finish. The complimentary airport pick-up was smooth and easy, making our arrival stress-free. At check-in, we were warmly greeted by Marti, the General Manager, who is incredibly welcoming and clearly runs the hotel with care and attention to every guest’s experience. Marti and her team went out of their way throughout our stay to make sure we had everything we needed. We were traveling with children, and the staff was so accommodating — they even made sure we had milk for the kids whenever we needed it, which was such a thoughtful touch. Another highlight: they lent us bug spray, bear spray, and a cooler, which made our outdoor excursions around Bozeman and beyond much easier and safer. Our room was spacious, very clean, and well-equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker, which made traveling with kids much easier. The complimentary breakfast was outstanding — truly one of the best we’ve had at any hotel. It featured a fun pancake maker, fresh cinnamon rolls, scrambled eggs, sausage, bagels, toast, oatmeal, and a selection of fresh fruits like blueberries and strawberries. The kids loved the chocolate milk, and the breakfast staff kept everything well-stocked and fresh. A special thanks to the housekeeping team, who kept our room spotless, and to the breakfast crew, who were friendly and attentive every morning. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Bozeman — whether you’re heading to Yellowstone, flying in, or just passing through. The hospitality here is top-notch, and we’ll definitely be back!
My husband and I stayed one night on our way through Bozeman and we were VERY impressed! The space is being renovated and appears it is in the final stages. The hotel was clean, up to date, quiet and comfortable. The staff were so welcoming and kind! There were so many options at the breakfast buffet.
